Terms of Use

Saecra is being set up as a US LLC, run by its founding team ("Saecra", "we", "us"). We will name the company here once it is registered, and before anyone pays for anything. You can reach us at hello@saecra.com.

You must be 16 or older. We ask for your date of birth when you create an account. If you are under 16, please do not use Saecra. If we learn that someone under 16 has an account, we will close it.

You must also be allowed to use Saecra where you live, and you must not be barred from using it by law.

What it is. Saecra is a tool for tracking how your face looks over time. You take guided selfies and note your habits and cosmetic treatments. Saecra counts and compares things it can see in the photos, such as blemishes, and shows you what changed and what else changed at the same time.

What it is not.

• Saecra is not a medical device and is not medical advice.
• Saecra does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and does not tell you what treatment to use, stop or change.
• Saecra is for cosmetic tracking only. If you log a prescription or a procedure, it is only your own note. Questions about a prescription? Ask your prescriber.
• If a spot is new, changing, itchy or bleeding, see a doctor. Do not wait for Saecra.
• Saecra does not give you a skin age, a beauty score or any rating of how you look.

Measurements can be wrong. Photos vary with light, angle, camera and mood. Saecra tries to tell you when a change is bigger than normal photo-to-photo variation, and says "too early to tell" when it cannot. Even so, a count can be wrong or can differ from what a person sees. Use your own judgment. We do not promise that any measurement is accurate, complete or right for you, and nothing Saecra shows you proves that a product, treatment or habit caused a change.

"In testing" features. Some measurements or features are marked "in testing". They are not yet shown to be reliable. Treat them as experiments. We may change them or remove them at any time.

Not for emergencies or decisions about your health. Do not use Saecra to decide on medical care. Talk to a qualified professional for that.

• Your photos stay on your device. Photos you take in Saecra are analyzed on your phone. We do not upload them, store them, or use them to train AI. If you use iCloud backup, that is between you and Apple.
• You own your content. Your photos, logs and results belong to you. We do not claim ownership of them.
• You can take it all with you. You can export your photos, log, results and the method version used for each number, any time, for free. Your history is never put behind a paywall.
• We never sell your data. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for advertising.
• What we do hold. If you create an account or join the waitlist, we hold the details we need to run it (for example your email and your plan or free-period status). The Privacy Policy at saecra.com/privacy explains this and your rights. Information about cycle, treatments and similar logs is kept on your device by default. If we ever ask to collect it, we will ask you separately first.
• What you send us. If you email us feedback or a support request, you let us use it to answer you and to improve Saecra, without owing you payment. We will not publish your name or photos without asking.

• You may need an account to use some features, including Saecra Plus, the free months for waitlist members, and restoring purchases.
• Give us correct information and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• One person per account. Do not share or sell an account.
• You can delete your account in the app or by emailing hello@saecra.com. Deleting it removes our server records about you as described in the Privacy Policy. It does not remove photos and history that are stored on your phone, and it ends any paid features or credits linked to the account. We will warn you before you confirm.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or is used to harm others or Saecra. If we close an account for a reason other than your misuse, you can still export your data first.

Basic results are free. Paid features are sold only through the Apple App Store.

Saecra Plus

• Price: US$4.99 per month or US$39.99 per year. Prices in other countries or currencies, and taxes, are shown by Apple at checkout.
• It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Apple charges your Apple account at purchase and again at each renewal, within 24 hours before the period ends.
• 7-day free trial. If you are eligible, your first 7 days of the monthly plan are free. The trial turns into a paid subscription automatically (US$4.99 per month) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Apple charges your Apple account when the trial ends. You can use the trial once, and Apple decides if you are eligible. Any unused part of a trial is lost when you buy a subscription.
• To cancel, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Saecra. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot refund Apple purchases ourselves.
• Your price keeps. If you are subscribed, we will not raise the price you pay for that plan. If we offer a lower price later, you may switch to it.

Treatment Referee (one-off)

• A one-time purchase of US$11.99 for one use. Saecra Plus includes it without limit.
• It does not renew. Credits do not expire, have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
• Credits are linked to your Saecra account, so they come back if you reinstall the app or get a new phone. If you delete your account, credits linked to it are lost.

Waitlist free months. The 3 free months of Saecra Plus for waitlist members are given by Saecra through an offer code. No card is needed and they do not turn into a charge automatically. When they end, you choose whether to buy. Full details are at saecra.com/offer-terms.

Apple's terms. Your use of the app on iPhone is also covered by Apple's standard end user license agreement. These terms are between you and Saecra, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app, its maintenance, support, or any claims about it. If the app does not meet a warranty that applies to you by law, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price if the law requires it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not in a country under a US embargo and not on a US government list of restricted parties.

If you use Saecra before the public launch:

• The beta is free. Access is by invitation from the waitlist.
• The app is unfinished. It may have bugs, show wrong results, change, or stop working. Do not rely on it.
• We may change or end the beta at any time. Beta access ends on the day of the public launch.
• The 3 free months of Saecra Plus for waitlist members start when you first sign in after the public launch. Beta time does not use them up.
• The data rules in section 4 apply to the beta in full. Beta testers get the same privacy rule as everyone else.
• Tell us about problems at hello@saecra.com. You are not required to.

Saecra gives you your own information about your own photos and logs. It does not replace a doctor, dermatologist, pharmacist or other professional. Do not start, stop or change any treatment because of something Saecra shows. If you have a health concern, ask a qualified professional. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Please do not:

• break the law or use Saecra to harm anyone;
• take, upload or analyze photos of another person without their permission, or of a child;
• try to break, probe or overload our services, or get around limits or security;
• copy, reverse engineer or extract the code, models or data of Saecra, except where the law allows it;
• scrape the site or app, or use them to build a competing product;
• misuse the free offer (for example, many accounts for one person), or fake or tamper with exports or signed records;
• present Saecra results as a medical or clinical result, or as approval or proof from Saecra of a product or treatment.

We will not leave you stranded. Saecra is built so that your record lives on your phone. If Saecra permanently shuts down:

1. The app keeps running on your phone, offline. You can still take photos, log, and see your history and results on your device.
2. Your photos and record stay on your phone. We never held them, so there is nothing for us to take away.
3. Your export stays available. You will always be able to export your photos, log, results and the method version for each number.
4. We will stop selling. We will stop offering purchases and tell you how to cancel any subscription in Apple settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own rules. We do not promise refunds beyond what Apple provides.
5. We will tell you by email to the address on your account and on saecra.com, as far in advance as we reasonably can.

Features that need our servers (such as sign-in and restoring purchases) will stop working when the servers stop.

This section also applies if Saecra is sold or ends and a buyer does not continue the service on the same terms.

The Saecra Pledge at saecra.com/pledge is part of these terms. In short: we sell nothing but the app, no brand can pay to appear in Saecra, your face stays on your phone, we only show what we can measure, we tell you when nothing changed, we publish how we measure, and your history is yours. We will not change the pledge without 30 days' notice, and a change will never apply retroactively to data already collected. We will never sell your data, never train AI on your photos, and never recommend products. If these terms and the pledge ever conflict, the version that is better for you wins.

Saecra, including the app, website, designs, text, methods, models and the Saecra name and logo, belongs to Saecra or its licensors. We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal use, under these terms. All rights we do not give you are kept by us. Some parts use open-source software under their own licenses.

Example images on our site that are made with AI are labeled as such. They are not real people or real results.

Saecra is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties, express or implied, including about accuracy of measurements, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted or error-free service, or that results will match what you see, hope for or are told by anyone else. This does not take away any rights you have by law that cannot be waived.

To the fullest extent the law allows:

• Saecra, its founding team and its contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for lost profits, savings, data or goodwill, or for decisions you make about your health, treatments, purchases or appearance based on Saecra.
• Our total liability to you for anything connected with Saecra is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Saecra in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim, and (b) US$50.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for gross negligence or willful misconduct. Some places do not allow some of the limits above, so part of this section may not apply to you.

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore can hear disputes. This does not take away any protection that the consumer laws of the country where you live give you and that cannot be excluded by agreement, and you may always bring a claim in the courts where you live if those laws give you that right. Before going to court, please email hello@saecra.com and give us 30 days to try to fix it.

We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can stop using Saecra and export your data first. Changes to the pledge follow section 11. A change never applies retroactively to data we already hold, and never lets us sell your data or take your photos off your device.

• If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
• If we do not enforce a right right away, we have not given it up.
• You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours only to someone who agrees to keep them, including sections 4, 10 and 11.
• These terms, the Privacy Policy, the pledge and the offer terms are the whole agreement between you and us about Saecra.
